I'm not a fan of Fox productions of marvel comics, but...I'm hearing rumblings that the Deadpool movie, which has been green light, will be a Fox movie while being produced by Marvel studios. While researching these rumors I also found this

I also read that it was recently announced Reynolds will be reprising Deadpool. Now I know a lot of people are not fans of Reynolds, I think in some roles he's fun and in others he sucks. But as Wade Wilson I loved him, not as Deadpool but as Wade Wilson. So I hope whenever this comes out it'll be half way decent.

We fucking love TF2, I mean that's all we've been doing this weekend because they updated the game and added some kick ass stuff. This was already kind of posted but not directly. In my opinion this is the best meet the class, not the funniest, they put a lot of work in to it. I might be biased though...my favorite class is the spy.

So "Japan day" was a complete flop

Shane and I had some videos and ideas queued up but they never happened, what's new? We'll probably throw them out over the next week or two, or we'll move "Japan day" we haven't really discussed it. Friday was pay day so I spent the weekend drinking and my friends graduated was Saturday so there was some celebration to be had. That's about it on my end. I'm getting a ton of GI Joe stuff in the mail over the next couple of weeks, so I might be posting a few reviews or something. The items include the dvd pack 5, I got ripped off on the last one and am in the process of getting my money back, a couple alley vipers, the wave 5 vehicles and some more resolute cobra troopers. So that'll be nice/fun. ALso hopefully Deep Six will be getting a update soon, I haven't been able to take photos and upload them because my chord is fucked up so I have to buy another. As weather gets nice and I feel more motivated they should be more regular again.

X-Men Orgins Wolverine, Hollywood can't do x-men right

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SERIOUSLY MOTHER FUCKING SPOILERS


There is no way I can make this post without sounding like some little fan boy shit and I've embraced that. I tend not to get worked up about revamps, redesigns, Hollywood interpretations, cartoons, video games or toys. I usually careless, if it sucks, it sucks I know that if it was something I liked, I liked it for another reason and I just shrug about the crap and continue on. I don't bitch about it online though I have express my distastes in conversations, I don't fight or argue about it. But Wolverine origins, what a pile of poopy crap. As many of you know Shane and I like comics, we like comics a lot and for four years or so I worked in a comic shop. But to tell you the truth I don't read many superhero comics and what I know about most super characters is second hand or wiki readings. I have however read the Wolverine origin comic and you know this movie started somewhat similar to the comic, I was surprised and impressed. Actually the whole movie started out pretty strong and I enjoyed the first half or so. I was actually happy to enjoy the first part because you know what, I'm not a Wolverine fan. I think he's overused, overhyped, and overrated. But that doesn't mean I hate him, I think he's a great member of X-men and brings a cool dynamic to the team but alone I could give two shits about him. The only reason I actually read the origin comic was that I heard from a lot of friends it was good and I was lent a copy. Now the movie the only reason I saw it was because I was lent a copy, yup a copy, it's pretty much dvd quality too, just doesn't have all the special effects and sometimes you can see wires from some of the stunts.

Like I said above the begining of the movie was enjoyable. The opening shows a young Logan bed ridden due to a illness. His father comes and checks on him and discovers Victor Creed in the room with him. In the background you hear some yelling and it's revealed that it's Victor's father. Logan's dad goes to see whats going on and is killed. Logan comes down stairs to find his father laying on the floor. He gets pissed in the Wolverine styling and his mutant powers kick in. He stabs Mr. Creed with his claws and Creed states that he's, plot twist, Logan's actual father making Wolverine and Sabertooth brothers. Victor could careless that his drunk murdering father was killed by his brother and they escape. They really could have done more at this part showing them as preteens trying to survive but instead they move in to the title sequance. This part was actually pretty cool, it shows Logan and Victor fighting in the revolutionary war and every other war up until Vietnam, each war showing Victor enjoying fighting more and more and Logan less and less. The movie picks back up with Victor throwing a Vietnamese woman on to a bed and it's implied that he's going to try and rape the shit out of her but he's stopped by a fellow soldier. Some fighting happens with Logan and Victor against some friendly soldiers. The scene shifts to them in front of a firing squad and are well, shot. They're both imprisoned until Colonel Stryker gives them the option to work for him. He pulls them in to his group of covert mutants, Team X, which also includes The Blob, pre-fatass, Kestrel, Bolt/Maverick, Agent zero, and a favorite here at the blog Mr. Wilson, Deadpool. They show the team in action attacking a office building in Africa to find the location of a precious element. This scene is rather cool and I enjoyed it though it was short and I liked the quips by Wade, who is played by Ryan Renolds, which I thought was a pretty good choice for the merc with a mouth. After finding the location they go to a village where Stryker orders everyone killed because of the villagers not telling them the location of the element. Logan gets pissed tells everyone to stop and leaves. It's revealed later that one by one all of the members left and are slowly being hunted down by Victor. Logan settles down with a lady in the Canadian Rockies and works as a lumber jack for half a dozen years until Stryker comes and tells him members of Team X are being hunted down, the asshole lies through his teeth saying he doesn't know who it is. But you fucking know he knows it's Victor Creed. Victor shows up kills Logans girlfriend and there's a big fight in a bar. Logan gets his ass handed to him and Stryker comes and offers him to give him the "tools" he needs to kill Victor. He get's antamantium, the precious element from earlier, put on his bones and becomes Weapon X. And this is where I feel the movie falls apart and where this review will probably fall apart even more. I just stopped caring about the movie, it got goofy and the story stupider and stupider.
He escapes the base, stays with some old people, they get killed by Agent zero, he kills Agent zero and he goes hunting for Victor. He meets up with ex team mate John Wraith or Kestrel and they talk about what happened to the team. While this is going on it shows that Stryker is using Victor to hunt mutants down so he can experiment on them, Victor finds Scott Summers, Cyclops and brings him back to the base. Wraith tells Logan that Fred Dukes could tell him where Victor is. He also tells him Dukes took up eating after leaving the team, step in the Blob as we know him. Some fighting happens and the Blob tells him that Stryker and Victor are working together and that only one mutant had ever escaped. So Logan and Wraith go and easily find the escapee named Gambit. Now Gambit is another character that I don't care for he's like Wolverine part 2 for me but I liked his movie character. Some more fighting goes on Victor kills Wraith, Logan gets pissed and they fight. Gambit breaks it up blah blah blah Gambit does some stupid ass shit with his powers and Logan talks him in to flying him to the base. He gets to the base and Logan, finds out his girlfriend is a mutant and was working for Stryker, gets pissed releases some mutants, fights Victor, fights Deadpool, gets pissed some more, gets shot by Stryker's antamantium bullets, gets pissed some more and losses all of his memories. Cameo by Patrick Stewart as Xavier pre wheel chair who saves the young mutants, the end. That's what it felt like watching the ending of the movie. I can't express it idiocy of the ending. Really it's only worth watching for free in my opinion. But to be fair it wasn't that terrible a movie, I'd group it with the other X-men movies though not as good as the second one. Sadly with the decent to high quality Marvel movies that have been coming out I had higher hopes. Alas it wasn't of Iron Man quality, though that would have been hard, or of Hulk quality. I did however love Victor/Sabertooth. He was always a character that I liked and the idea of him was cool but I had never read a version of him I really liked and I hated the other movie versions so fucking much. I tip my hat to the movie's version I thought it was great.

Now the ranting, here is what I hated as a nerdy fan boy. The whole movie I was also waiting for Wade to become Deadpool. There was three things they kept true to the character, he regenerated due to Logan's genes being used on him by Stryker, he could fight his ass off and he could teleport. But even the last one wasn't that accurate he could teleport because of Wraith's DNA but I didn't mind in the comics it's due to a device. Now what they fucked up, he was part cyborg or some shit, Stryker could see though his eyes and he would type in commands to tell him what to do. He had no mouth, the merc with the mouth, had no mouth so there was no witty dialogue. I understand Styrker hated him talking so he did it, but come on. He had arm swords, because of Logan's DNA, swords that came out of his arms like Logan's claws. Last but not least he fucking shot optic blasts because of Cyclop's DNA. The teleporting ok, the arm blades retarded but I could live with them, optic blasts and no mouth last fucking straw. They even fucked his name up. How? you ask. Well he took the name Deadpool because he was a Team X washout and was sent to the Workshop, a place where they experiment on failed agents. There was a thing called the Dead Pool where people would vote on who would die next. He eventually escaped and released some of the mutants. Upon his escape he took the name Deadpool. In the movie they named him Deadpool because he was supposed to be a mutant hunter, thus Dead, and he has a pool of DNA, thus Pool. Making Deadpool, now I'm not that pissed about that, that was kind of cleaver I suppose. Despite that I'm glad he got his stupid fucking head cut off and I hope to hell they never bring him back. If they do I hope they retcon the shit out of him. Now this isn't why I hated the movie, the movie fell apart before this and again it was something I hated as a fan of the character not as a fan of the movie. People that don't know the character well or not at all it might not matter and that's ok.

Anyways, I think people should wait to see this movie. Really save your money and see...well I don't know of anything right now worth seeing in theaters. Just save your money and buy drugs or something, they'll be more enjoyable. Actually if you wanted to watch a Marvel movie just watch this
I don't care what anyone says this movie was fucking awesome. The Punisher is one of the few "super hero" comics I have read and this movie was so fucking close to the max title, I was really impressed. Yeah, just watch this instead of Wolverine, it's way better in every way in my opinion.
